Do you Want or Desire?
Want and Desire seem like two polar similars-but there are differences.
Desire is longing, craving, quest, request.
Want is lack, deficiency, need, scarcity.
Desire is praised by the Word of God. As it says in Psalms 37:4 "Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart." Many believers receive things they do not recall even praying for. Well, they desired it and so was given to them. So desiring is a form of prayer! One of the meanings of the word khay-fets or delight in Hebrew is you guessed it-desire! So you reap what you sow the key to prayer and life's issues. They desired the Lord and they received the desires (plural you get more than you sow!) of their heart! And now the eye opener. Desires in Hebrew is mish-aw-law and means desire or request! So daily Correct the desires of your heart because they are prayers in waiting for fulfillment!
Want is not a positive word. It implies loss, lack, and limitation. "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Psalms 23:1 Want here in Hebrew is khaw-sare a void. If you allow the Lord to shepherd or guide you He will fill any voids or wants in your life. He will guide you straight to blessings so you realize the desires of your heart! Keep this I mind. The Bible says the heart of man is very deep so even subconscious desires can be manifested thus loss, lack and limitation is eradicated like the pest it is!
The Three Great Axioms of Scripture all based on the law or principle of sowing and reaping:
What you think you create
What you imagine you become
What feel you attract.
